From January 2017 the Queensland Government have implemented new smoke alarm legislation. This legislation means that all properties must have smoke alarms that are photo electric style and be hard wired where possible.
Smoke alarms installation is now mandatory in each bedroom, Hallways and other parts of the home- they must also be interconnected. This will mean if a fire starts in one part of the home all alarms will sound with enough time for everyone to get out safe.
For existing dwelling you have till 2027 to comply. We can supply and install the new photo electric alarms and provide a compliance testing certificate.
